Mon frère

For Christian Gremaud, finding his place in a world of hearing people isn’t simple. Deaf by birth, he grew up facing violence and exclusion. Because his theatre, so deeply ingrained in the body, owes much to his brother, François Gremaud conceived for him this play that doubles as an homage. First carried by a desire for justice, Mon Frère goes beyond the testimony to become a place for sharing, a hymn to equality, an experience that blends poetry, humour, and the expressive power of French Sign Language. On a bare stage, the brothers perform this act of resistance, sharing their love and their lust for life.

프랑수아 그르모가 자신의 청각장애인 형제와 함께, 그리고 그를 위해 쓴 내 형제(Mon Frère)는 예술적인 동시에 정치적인 표현이다. 두 형제는 시적 감각과 유머, 그리고 프랑스 수어가 가진 강력한 표현력을 통해 소외에 맞서 저항한다.
