The programmation will be presented at the beginning of April.

Since 1 September, 2022, Tiago Rodrigues is the new director of the Festival d'Avignon. By interpreting the historical score of the Festival, he wishes to transform this city-theater into a "luminous café for Europe", where the world celebrates, debates and questions itself. For his first public speech as director, Tiago Rodrigues met more than 500 people at La FabricA.

It is with great joy that we learned today of the release of Olivier Dubois. French journalist, hostage in the Sahel since 2021, he was a former student of the Lycée Frédéric Mistral of Avignon and a familiar face at the Festival d'Avignon.

What if I don't understand anything? Will I feel like I belong? Am I dressed correctly?
Faced with these questions that we have all asked ourselves, the Festival works to make theatre accessible to all. The "Fisrt time" project was born out of the desire to answer these questions, to respond to a desire to feel at home or to make coming to a performance more comfortable.
Because images, sound and digital technology can whet the appetite for live performances, the Festival develops media education projects. Throughout the year, and then in immersion in July, hundreds of young people appropriate the codes of the new media formats to make their voices and those of others heard.
A Movement for a New Education, the Ceméa are an openly activist organisation. As members of associations, daily actors, and politically active citizens, the militants of the Ceméa know that history, the practices of yesteryear, and the actions of today put the Ceméa at the centre of the development of a New Education.
