"A large part of the utopia of popular theatre today is based on proximity." Tiago Rodrigues makes it a point of honour to make the Festival d'Avignon a place of accessibility, inclusion and representation. These commitments are embodied in projects that link discovery, openness, learning and creation, throughout the year and for all. Each edition of the Festival will be welcoming and hospitable and everyone must know that they have a place there. The "first time" project will give concrete expression to this ambition.
