Vanasay Khamphommala reflects on the economics of performance in Europe, as a mirror to rural Laos where her father grew up. In an intimate space, naked and accompanied only by her ukulele, she performs a song in exchange for a drink. A radical gesture which explores the relationships between art, exchange, and sociability.
