Storyteller Étienne Minoungou brings together Édouard Glissant and Sony Labou Tansi, two great voices from the Caribbean and the Congo, to create a dialogue between their ideas, searching for new utopias.
The content of this page
An unrivalled storyteller, Étienne Minoungou brings together the thoughts of Édouard Glissant and Sony Labou Tansi in a setup halfway between a lecture and stand-up comedy. Two voices meet: that of the Caribbean writer, shaped by the Tout-Monde and creolisation, and that of the Congolese poet and essayist, rooted in a language of awakening. How can imagination be transformed to bring about new humanities? From the decolonisation of the world and minds to the urgency of living together, Minoungou channels both anger and utopia, accompanied by Danish saxophonist Katrine Suwalski and Burkinabé multi-instrumentalist Simon Winsé. L’Intraitable Beauté du monde carves out a path for a theatre of conversation, sensitive, rhythmic, and corporeal.
