Presentation

This cycle of readings is a time of discovery offered to festival-goers and listeners to Radio du Monde. These six texts are in fact "fresh writings", most of them unpublished and never before performed in Europe. Texts by African and Haitian authors, who from Avignon can also address a wide international audience, as these readings are recorded for over-the-air and digital broadcast on RFI.

This 12th edition will open with the winning text of the Prix RFI Théâtre 2023, which sets the tone for these committed writings, as Cameroonian Éric Delphin Kwegoué writes a plea for press freedom dedicated to all the journalists murdered in his country. From Benin and Haiti, all the other submissions are also texts of struggle and missing narratives essential to a broad perception of the world.

Programme to come.
