In Korean, the word Yeonhee refers to a centuries-old art form that blends dance, circus, and percussion – disciplines that are also found in Liquid Sound’s performances. For over ten years, this company, bringing together artists from diverse backgrounds, has been committed to keeping this traditional art alive in the present, through a free, distinctly contemporary, and often electric reinterpretation. With its pared-down staging, sumptuous costumes, and striking acts, KIN: Yeonhee Project I is an invitation to journey through South Korean culture, led by outstanding multidisciplinary artists whose codified gestures intersect with the most avant-garde ideas.
