In a world haunted by wars, crises, and violence, the literatures of the world —and theatre in particular— cannot remain silent. Since 2013, Ça va, ça va le monde ! has given voice to French-language dramatic writings from Africa, the Caribbean, and the Arab world. Through RFI’s cycle of readings, these texts, deeply rooted in the social and political realities of their regions, find a space for resonance and sharing.

Le Ruban
by Hala Moughanie - Lebanon
In the aftermath of the ceasefire, ministers realize that the inauguration of the modern art museum took place quietly, during the war, with no official ceremony.
As the country lies wounded and still under attack, an emergency meeting is called to address the situation.
The Ribbon is a reflection on the role of art in times of crisis.
Hala Moughanie lives in Beirut, where she works as a consultant specializing in public policy and conflict mediation.
Her first play, Shut Up and Dig, won the RFI Théâtre Prize in 2015 as well as the Artcena Prize.
