A group of young people, including a woman, are living on the edge, dealing in drugs and male prostitution. The relationships among the characters are genuine, played out with a sense of theatrical wholeness and integrity. These beings are inhabited with pain and refuse to compromise with life. They seize it instead with its cruelty and immediacy, their acts conditioned by the urgency of satisfying a need for pleasure, as if each time it was the last before death. Dreams no longer exist, all that is left is a futureless present. The theatre symbolises the only sign of hope, like an upturned mirror of the reality of a generation.
