Presentation

Eight Talents Adami Theatre actors and actresses are taking part in the public reading game, performing three English texts translated into French for the 77th edition of the Festival d'Avignon. Under the direction of Lucy Morrison and Sam Pritchard, the young Talents Adami Theatre had the opportunity to rehearse in London at the Royal Court Theatre before the performances in the cour du Musée Calvet.

“You are becoming a parody, hun. You are becoming like the human equivalent of a fucking Little Mix song.”
Tosh and Lou. 22 scenes.
Other friends have come, got boyfriends and gone.
So what? Tosh and Lou have each other. They’re not interested in becoming clichés. They’ll never be like other girls. This is love. This is enough.

Developed on a writers group at the Royal Court, Miriam Battye’s 2020 play announced her as a major voice amongst playwrights of her generation.

Miriam Battye is originally from Manchester. Her plays include Scenes with girl (Royal Court), Find A Partner (National Theatre Connections) and Trip The Light Fantastic (Bristol Old Vic/Radio 4).
