A large and remarkably restored 17th-century building, the Cloître Saint-Louis is one of the Festival's nerve centres. It contains the Festival's offices, ticket offices, the Maison professionnelle du spectacle vivant en Avignon (professional house), as well as the Institut Supérieur des Techniques du Spectacles (ISTS) whose rooms welcome numerous professional encounters. Its courtyard in constent effervescence, is animated by debates and meetings on performing arts and cultural policy issues. Food and refreshments on site.
Café des idées
Centrally located and open daily, it is one of the beating hearts of the Festival, where artists, artistic teams, and spectators can meet and gather. It is welcoming to all who want to exchange thoughts about the shows of the Festival, confront their ideas to others, or listen to debates and criticism. A wealth of aesthetic, scientific, and societal points of view defended by artists, journalists, essayists, and researchers.
