What happens when time no longer follows its usual course? In Chroniques, five characters move through a landscape with uncertain contours, unable to tell whether they stand at the dawn or the twilight of their existence. Trapped in a temporal loop, they undergo a series of metamorphoses that unsettle their bearings and transform the way they inhabit the world.
For more than twenty years, the Belgian company Peeping Tom has developed a distinctive artistic language in which bodies, objects and places seem subject to shifting realities. With this new creation, Gabriela Carrizo opens a new chapter in the company’s history. Performed by five dancers appearing together for the first time, Chroniques explores bodily transformation in a world where time and space appear to follow different rules.
