Presentation

There are 200,000 Korean children scattered across the globe since the end of the Korean War. Born in 1965 in Seoul and adopted in 1971 by a Belgian family, Jung is one of them.

Adapted from the graphic novel Couleur de peau: Miel, the film revisits key moments in Jung’s life: the orphanage, his arrival in Belgium, family life, a difficult adolescence… He recounts the events that led him to accept his mixed heritage. Uprooting, identity, integration, maternal love, as well as the blended and mixed-race family, are all themes explored with poetry, humour and emotion.
