Artistic and cultural practices play a key role in this context: they open up spaces for experimentation, free expression, encourage a diversity of voices, and foster the emergence of new artistic forms. The work of cultural services, student, scientific and pedagogical initiatives, and the presence of a wide range of artists and contributors help to broaden perspectives.
New alliances and spaces of collaboration are emerging between campuses and local stakeholders, bringing together artists, scientists, students and citizens. These initiatives also give rise to hybrid forms at the intersection of performing arts, visual arts, public space interventions and works engaging with the living world.
Through these practices, social bonds are also strengthened. By bringing together diverse audiences, fostering dialogue and debate, and providing a platform for singular and sometimes marginalized voices, artistic and cultural engagement on campuses—and its connection to the city—contributes to the creation of an inclusive and plural community.
This day will offer a genuine opportunity for dialogue with a range of contributors and a chance to discover three creations from the emerging university-based artistic scene.
