Dodo ya Momo do is a bilingual performance (in Arabic and French), a dialogue with multiple voices and languages between the Arabic and French versions of the poems performed by the poetess and Moroccan lullabies in all the languages of the country. Soukaina Habiballah’s poems show the relationship between three generations of women, from the grandmother to the granddaughter. “And there were hours and perhaps days/Time also is a question of time/All things quiet down/I take the key out of my chest/I don’t want the sound of the lock to scare them/I turn it so slowly/I open it while humming.”
