In the 17th century, Pierre Borel, an ordinary doctor, declares having found irrefutable proof of the sexuality of stones. This debate, which raged throughout the Grand Siècle, pits two sides against each other: those who believe Earth to be inert against those who see it as a living organism. What echo does this have today, taking into account all our scientific knowledge? Are stone and flesh closer than we think?
Born in the Congo in 1959, Olivier de Sagazan studied biology before turning to painting and sculpting. For over twenty years, he has developed a hybrid practice which mixes painting, sculpting, and performance.
After graduating from the Conservatoire national supérieur d’art dramatique, Gaëlle Hausermann worked as an actress for the theatre, cinema, and television. She has been working with David Wahl for several years.
