A Sunday in the summer.The sirocco is blowing relentlessly on Palermo when Rosa and Clara, on their way to a friend’s wedding, get lost in the city and end up in a narrow street: Via CastellanaBandiera. At the same moment, the Calafiore family’s car, driven by matriarch Samira, enters the street from the opposite side. Neither Rosa nor Samira, a stubborn old woman, wants to back up. Locked inside their cars, the women face each other in a silent duel, their eyes full of hate. More wilful than the Palermo sun and harder than the ferocity of the men around them.And as in any duel, this is life or death…
