Alexander the Great stands with his army before the ramparts of the City of the Malli. His men are uncertain: the Brahmin city is sacred, and if they destroy it, the whole Indus River region will rise up. Just as Alexander is about to order the attack, time opens up, suspended. Everything gets mixed up. Past and future intertwine and, for a few seconds, Alexander sees what will be.
