On the outside, there are two disproportionate bodies, two dissonant voices, two faraway worlds. On the inside, sensibilities converge: they discover they are of similar sizes, ready to go, to drift, to capsize even, if at all possible. Always curious, sometimes wild, the souls sway on their legs in a jungle of emotions, between loud interludes and silent inner struggles.
Jann Gallois
Jann Gallois came to dance in 2004 via hip-hop. As a performer, she has worked with artists such as Sébastien Lefrançois, Sylvain Groud, Angelin Preljocaj, Sébastien Ramirez, and Kaori Ito. In 2012, she founded her own company, BurnOut, and created her first choreography, the solo P=mg. A second one followed in 2015, before she created the duet Compact with Rafael Smadja in 2016.
Lazare
An actor, writer, and director, Lazare first trained through improvisation, then at the Théâtre du fil, and at the school of the Théâtre national de Bretagne. In 2006, he founded the company Vita Nova. Passé – je ne sais pas où, qui revient (Past – I don't know where, coming back) opened a trilogy completed with Au pied du mur sans porte (With my back to a doorless wall) in 2011, and Rabah Robert in 2014. The recent Sombre rivière (Dark River) was yet another example of the eclecticism and vitality characteristic of his work.
