From Tunisia to Egypt, from Syria to Libya, new revolts, insurrections and revolutions have made the world switch from current events to history. These reversals oblige the West to look in a different way at the Arab world, which is showing extraordinary civic courage, remarkable democratic inventiveness and an attentive distance in regard to politicized Islam.
