François, Olivier et les autres... (François, Olivier and the others...) As always, the Author initiates, innovates, mixes, qualifies boldness, triggers echos, shocks, desires... The SACD (with its legacy of the Texte Nu and Mots d'Auteurs series at the Avignon Festival), and the new Festival team have decided to allocate to François Bon et Olivier Cadiot - two of the French-language authors whose work is in this year's programme - the project of calling on other French-language writers to form “an authors'chain“.The attentiveness, the choices, the rigour of François Bon and Olivier Cadiot have matched our expectations... From social issues to poetry, from the music of words to the meaning of notes, from emotion to the conceptual, a mirror of our most lively writing will be etched from reflections.Let us now, give a heart-felt response to the desire of these authors.
Louise Doutreligne, First vice-president of SACD
“I've invited three poets, Pierre Alferi, Emmanuel Hocquard, Jacques Roubaud and a composer, Georges Aperghis whom I admire. Their works are multi-form and never cross-disciplinary, they go to the limits of each genre. We can hear their secret voices inside the texts and partitions. We can imagine the scene.”
