There are those we no longer see, those whose stories go untold, those whom history forgets, and those we speak of without ever giving them a place. There are also those who are interrupted, reduced to a role, a stigma, or a presumed identity. Between testimony, memory, and silence, one question remains: how can we do justice to lives that are absent, marginalized, or rendered invisible, without appropriating them a second time? What power does speech hold when it seeks not so much to occupy space as to give voice to what is missing?
