This issue bears witness to the diversity of theatrical forms in the Arab world, in the Maghreb, the Mashreq and internationally. With a great diversity of forms and aesthetics, the theatre of the Arab countries is still little known in Europe today. Without being exhaustive, this issue proposes a historical approach to the scenic forms of the Maghreb and the Mashreq, and above all to bear witness to their vitality in Europe and in the rest of the world, through the words of artists and researchers.
