Sylvain George
After studying philosophy, Sylvain George, now a film-maker, produces poetic, political and experimental film-essays. Influenced by Walter Benjamin, his work is placed under the sign of emancipation: he believes cinema can only think of itself through the Other. Never separating content from form, combining formal research and militant commitment, his films aim at opening perspectives, leaving traces of everything that is never seen in our society and that we sometimes refuse to see.
