Susanne Kennedy
In Susanne Kennedy’s sensorial theatrical world, characters are often archetypes and their emotions magnified by make-up, costumes, and a non-naturalistic acting style. Her work on video, lighting, and sound design plays a large part in the strangeness of the worlds she likes to explore. A graduate of the Amsterdam University of the Arts, invited by the greatest theatres and operas in the Netherlands and Germany (she is a regular at the Volksbühne in Berlin), Susanne Kennedy is invited for the first time by the Festival d’Avignon.
