Mats Staub
Mats Staub is a Swiss artist born in 1972. He studied theatre, journalism, and religion in Bern and Berlin, where he now works. After working as a playwright, since 2004 he has been developing artistic projects about memory, creating sensitive, personal, and universal installations at the crossroads of literature and science, of the art exhibit and theatre. His long-term project Death and Birth in My Life has made stops in Manchester, Johannesburg, Kinshasa, Munich, Basel, and Bamako, before coming to Avignon.
