Lee Jaram

Widely regarded as the most singular and powerful voice in contemporary pansori, Lee Jaram began her training at age ten and mastered the traditional repertoires under renowned singers Oh Jeong-suk and Song Soon-seop. Graduated of Seoul National University, she has redefined pansori through major original pieces such as Sacheon-ga, Ukchuk-ga, The Old Man and the Sea, and Snow, Snow, Snow. Merging theater, musical, changgeuk, and solo stage, she renews this traditional form into an international phenomenon
