Jaha Koo

Jaha Koo is a South Korean theater director, composer and video artist who studied theatre at the Korea National University of Arts, then at DasArts in Amsterdam. His shows weave together multimedia research, music, installation, and performance, and are often closely tied to political history. The first part of his Hamartia Trilogy, Lolling and Rolling, premiered in 2015, followed by Cuckoo in 2017 and The History of Korean Western Theatre in 2020. His latest show, Haribo Kimchi, premiered in June 2024 and is currently touring internationally. He is currently working on his next creation, Born to be K to be POP, which is set to premiere in 2027.
