Groupe Merci
Solange Oswald, director, and Joël Fesel, plastic artist and scenographer, founded Groupe Merci in 1996 around the writings of Patrick Kermann, and in particular his text De quelques choses vues la nuit. Their eclectic works, based on contemporary writings (Patrik Ouřednik, Valère Novarina, Olivier Cadiot, Falk Richter, Charles Robinson, etc.) take the form of nocturnal objects that aim to create a shift in our relationship to theatre. In 1997, they founded Le Pavillon Mazar in Toulouse, a laboratory for new forms and experimental theatre, which sadly closed its doors in 2021.
