Baro d'evel presents "Qui som?"
“Who are we?” This is the question posed by Franco-Catalan company Baro d’evel: a question as relevant in the present tense as in the past or the future. Invited for the first time to the Festival d’Avignon, these artists who come from the world of the circus have experienced “all the states of the performing arts,” from the street to the tent, before settling in theatres. Their shows are full of humour, inventive and generous, like so many fantastic voyages in which the audience actively participates. Bringing together actresses and actors, dancers, musicians, acrobats, clowns, and a ceramist, Qui som? unleashes a powerful vital energy, an explosion of colours and shapes that calls for a world to come: this world that is shaped out of clay and out of our bodies, forever fighting the forces of despair and resignation.
