A different relationship to time and space as we delve into one of the most famous works by choreographer Pina Bausch: a laboratory-like performance that develops multiple readings of Café Müller.

Presentation

The idea for Forever came to Boris Charmatz as he watched rehearsals for Café Müller. The new artistic director of the Tanztheater Wuppertal wanted to convey the constantly renewed emotion of Pina Bausch’s mythical show, which seems to have begun before the audience arrives and to continue after they leave. He came up with this choreographic installation which spectators can come visit. For seven hours, twenty-five dancers take turn performing Café Müller, alternating with interludes—testimonies from authors and performers influenced by Pina Bausch’s work... This setup allows the audience to explore multiple perspectives, generating new insights and new sensations, like so many possible shows. Forever is endless: the dance goes on forever and ever.

Una relación diferente con el espacio y con el tiempo para introducirnos en una de las obras más famosas de la coreógrafa Pina Bausch: un espectáculo a modo de laboratorio que desarrolla múltiples lecturas de Café Müller.
