Pitcho Womba Konga, aka Pitcho, is one of the two actors in Sizwe Banzi is Dead. He also played in Tirno Bokar, Peter Brook's last production, but he is primarily a rap musician.
He has written songs that show his awareness, witty songs with humour which are a far cry from the clichés about dreary suburbs. In 2003, he released his first album with DJ Saint, Regarde Comment (See How), and toured in Europe. In 2005, he released his second album Faut pas comprendre (Don't Need to Understand), seven relevant and original songs with rich lyrics. Pitcho also has his own recording label.
