tg STAN

Belgian collective tg STAN (Stop Thinking About Names), founded in 1989, has for thirty-seven years carried out a body of work which tours internationally, with a base in France. tg STAN are devoted to a theatre based on the text and draw on a wide-ranging repertoire, from Chekhov to Bernhard, or more recently from Jon Fosse or Tiago Rodrigues… For tg STAN, theatre is not an elitist art form. They often explore the paradoxical lightness of comedy, where humour heightens tragedy and makes it more tangible.
