In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a group of college students who cannot afford to pay the teachers' “bonuses” organise themselves to prepare the national exam together. To graduate, they have to overcome many challenges, and several techniques, from the most serious to the most fortuitous, are available. Through this exam, young director Dieudo Hamadi casts a sharp look at Congolese society and at the realities of a country suffering from its colonial past, from the consequences of dictatorship, and from a lack of opportunities.
On July 16, the screening will be followed by a Q&A session with Dominique Wallon, Festival des Cinémas d'Afrique du Pays d'Apt
