Alexandra Badea is a playwright. Her first novel to be published brings into play two women that everything seems to separate in appearance, periods and places, a story about immigration, origin, country and want, a story of a quest. A man is erased by war and their entire lives will take the form of this absence. One of them digs the earth looking for her loved one's body. The other flees an absent father. History shatters private life, as usual. Here, it is that of Cyprus, from independence to the present day, at the heart of Europe. The story of an island separated in two by a wall that still exists today. Frédéric Fisbach was associate artist at the Festival d'Avignon in 2007.
