It was while listening to Pierre Ascaride telling him the history of Malakoff that Wajdi Mouawad noticed that he didn't know what being a communist meant. Curious to find out the answer, he went to meet eighteen members and travel companions of the party, whom he interviewed at their homes, between the two rounds of the 2007 presidential elections. This reading carries us to the heart of moving and precious personal accounts, of political and intellectual itineraries, lives totally devoted to defending an idea of society.
