Jan Fabre's exhibition, created for the Chapelle Saint-Charles, is made up of one installation of sculptures of coleoptera, mediaeval monks (the skin is made from human bone) and mechanical saws. This installation sets out to be a reflection on what is "transhuman", on death and on transcendancy. Umbraculum means a shadowy place where one works or one thinks away from duties and everyday life.
