To ensure smooth access and prevent the website from becoming overloaded, the first phase of online ticket sales this year will operate on a time-slot basis. Once registered, each ticket holder will be allocated a specific time slot in which to make their purchases.
SATURDAY 11 APRIL 2026, 10am
A discussion with Tiago Rodrigues, focusing on the key themes of the programme for the 80th edition. This will be followed by a free ticket pre-sale. From 9am, numbered tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. This number determines the order in which tickets are collected. Priority will be given to those holding a ticket for the discussion. The Festival reserves the right to stop distributing tickets depending on the number of people present. The Festival d’Avignon team will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions.

Once again this year, the “J’y suis, j’en suis” scheme enables young people aged 11 to 25 to experience the Festival d'Avignon in a different way. Group bookings are now open, whilst individual bookings will open on 3 April.
On the programme: 3- or 4-day stays to discover the Festival through performances, workshops, meetings with artists and opportunities to share experiences.
A unique experience, without accommodation, to immerse yourself in the heart of artistic creation.

For this 80th edition, Tiago Rodrigues, director of the Festival d'Avignon, invites us to look to the future: "This edition will be rooted in the future and projected towards the next eighty years of the Festival. It is to the future that the questions raised by the invited artists will be addressed, in line with Jean Vilar's utopia."
For the second consecutive year, the dates coincide with those of the festival off Avignon.

Today, on the eve of their 80th anniversary in 2027, the Edinburgh International Festival, the Festival d'Avignon and the Holland Festival are joining forces for the first time, combining their artistic visions for a special collaboration that marks the beginning of a shared journey for years to come, adding a new chapter to their shared legacy.
What if I don't understand anything? Will I feel like I belong? Am I dressed correctly?
Faced with these questions that we have all asked ourselves, the Festival works to make performing arts accessible to all. The "Fisrt time" project was born out of the desire to answer these questions, to respond to a desire to feel at home or to make coming to a performance more comfortable.
This programme offers young people from Avignon and the surrounding area the chance to experience the Festival in a different way: shows, workshops, meetings with artists and social events during a three- to four-day stay without accommodation.
The Festival d'Avignon has joined forces with Making Waves to offer young people from all over France the opportunity to discover the world of live performance and learn radio and interviewing techniques.
