Trajal Harrell presents an intimate solo where music acts as a living archive. Revisiting pieces that have left a mark on him, he explores the impact of time on the body and on memory.

Presentation

With Music Music, American choreographer and dancer Trajal Harrell proposes an intimate solo that explores the deep relationship between music, memory, and body. Known for his ability to synthesise different histories and aesthetics of dance with subtle humour, Harrell turns here to an essential component of his artistic practice: music. Rather than seeing it as a mere accompaniment, he approaches it as a living archive where feelings and memories come to settle. Through movement, he revisits familiar musical pieces and asks this question: what remains when we listen to those again, years later?
