Around ten emblematic locations, including Place du Palais des Papes, Cloître des Carmes and Église des Célestins, historian Antoine de Baecque guides listeners through twenty theatrical excerpts that trace the work of playwrights whose writing has shaped successive editions of the Festival. Among the ten excerpts for adults are texts by Valérie Dréville, Simon Falguières, Laurent Gaudé, Wajdi Mouawad, Olivier Py and many others. Younger audiences can discover extracts from plays by Baptiste Amann, Jean-Claude Grumberg, Igor Mendjisky and Joël Jouanneau.
Scan the QR codes displayed at each location and step into a bubble of poetry, retracing the history of the Festival through its voices and texts.
