The Resistance Tour

Culture is under attack. Political interference is rising across the world, threatening artistic freedom and cultural diversity. The RESISTANCE NOW TOGETHER movement is uniting artists, cultural leaders and institutions, sharing networking and solidarity as the central goals in the struggle for democratic core values. 

At the Café des Idées, Milo Rau, artistic director of the Vienna Festival (Wiener Festwochen), from which the movement started in August 2024, will take RESISTANCE NOW TOGETHER to another dimension by opening up to perspectives from the East and Middle East. Protagonists from cultural institutions from Central Europe to France, Greece, Egypt and Syria, will share their perceptions of the various threats to artistic freedom and the potential they see in collaborative solidarity.
