The 2025 archive

Ukrainian personalities from the worlds of art, literature and international justice will be in Avignon to give voice to a society that has chosen independence and democracy.

Presentation

15th July

  • 11am: screening of the film Izolyatsia (2024), by Igor Minaev, followed by a discussion with the director (Cinéma Utopia)

  • 6.30pm: Round table discussion ‘Ukrainian identity put to the test by war: chronicle of a daily resistance’ (Maison Jean Vilar)

16th July

  • 10.30am: Lecture by Konstantin Akinsha on ‘Ukrainian cultural heritage during the war’ (Institut Calvet)

  • 11am: screening of the film Alisa in Warland (2015), by Alisa Kovalenko, followed by a discussion with Igor Minaev and the director (Auditorium of the Renaud Barrault Library)

  • 6pm: Round table discussion on ‘Language and literature of the Ukraine in the Resistance’.

17 July

  • 4.30pm: meetings with Anastasiya Holovnenko from the Centre for Civil Liberties (presentation of the #PeopleFirst campaign) and Christian Castagna (presentation of the campaigns of the association Pour l'Ukraine, pour leur liberté et la nôtre!) (Village du Off)

18th July

  • 2.30pm: Ukrainian poetry in resistance ‘I am grass...’. Readings by AAFA and performance by Collectif Tête nue (Village du Off).

From 5 to 26 July: installation of sculptures created by Kseniya Kravtsova (Bibliothèque Ceccano)
7, 9 and 10 July: meetings with the organisers of ‘Avignon avec l'Ukraine’. (Village du Off)
