Is it possible to renew ties after war?

30 years after the genocide in Rwanda, 8 years after the peace process in Colombia, and as new fronts open up on European soil, in Ukraine and in the Middle East: can we speak of a return to war? How can we repair the damage caused by confrontation, division and trauma? How can we reconcile with yesterday's enemies and reweave the threads of dialogue? Can we reappropriate a common memory and design shared destinies?
