Angers / Created in 2021

By giving her show the name of a North American tribe, Nathalie Béasse continues a scenic work which brings together acting and dance, poetry and incongruity, and above all a powerful desire to live together.

Presentation

Are they a family? Friends? Here they are, men and women, tall and short, young and not so young, behaving sometimes like adults… and sometimes like children. By giving her show the name of the North American tribe of the Omaha, Nathalie Béasse continues with those-going-against-the-wind a scenic work which brings together acting and dance, momentum and imbalance, poetry and incongruity. Her performers are a brotherhood looking for exchange, with its own inner power struggles, urges, desires, exclamations, and failures. Neither the staging of a text nor a theatre of images, this show is a unique world in which emotions rule and objects and human beings, literature and music, delicacy and turmoil all stand on an equal footing. And in which this constant struggle against the elements becomes the expression of a powerful desire to live together, among wonder and folly.

To awaken all our senses, visual and aural, to find our inner child, to let go and indulge in daydreaming, without looking for the meaning of it all.
