Presentation

A cargo of dead people roams the streets of the city, full of victims of a blind police crackdown. Written after the bloody demonstrations of October 2019 in Conakry, this polyphonic play gives corpses, hearses, and bullets a chance to speak to tell us about the absurdity of mass death.

Souleymane Bah, a refugee in France, won the prix FRI Théâtre 2020, awarded in partnership by the Institut français, the Institut français à St-Louis du Sénégal, the SACD, Francophonies – Des écritures à la scène, Théâtre Ouvert, and the CDN de Normandie-Rouen.
