Presentation

Late 70s, Ivory Coast. Aya, 19, lives in Yopougon, a popular neighbourhood in Abidjan. She's a serious young woman who would rather stay home and study than go out with her friends. While Aya likes to divide her days between school, her family, and her two friends Adjoua and Bintou, who only think about going gazer at night, things become a little more complicated when Adjoua becomes pregnant and Moussa learns that he is the father. What to do?

Aya of Yop City is an animation film based on the eponymous comic book.

Odd Jobs in Kinshasa
Samurel, the hero of a 9-episode series, leads us along with his friend Yasmine on an exploration of the odd jobs that make Kinshasa such a lively and vibrant city. Through portraits of a voltigeur, a newsagent, a camiste, or an egg dealer, this film invites us to discover the biggest French-speaking megalopolis in the world.
