A whole life. The life of a woman. Of a woman who speaks and tells of limpid days, of joys, of tears, of detailed memories. At the heart of this life-story, there are the years of occupation, of resistance, of an unspoken love for a ring leader, and happiness after the war. However, beside this radiant woman who speaks, there is another, very young and silent woman who types. She writes without pause, on an evening during the winter of 1943. She invents this woman who is behind her and who is talking, this woman whom she will never be because the enemy is at the door. She invents a person who would have been able to say later, a long time after the war, "I still dance, I still love singing."
