Based on fragments of The Book of Untranquility, Antonio Tabbuchi brings the work of Fernando Pessoa to the stage as a child, again as an adult, his double Bernardo Soares, and the owner of the bistro where the poet and his double are supposed to have met. It is a voyage into a dizzyingly open book, and into the labyrinth of identity where the metaphysical settles itself comfortably in the apparent banality of daily life.
