Sofia Adrian Jupither

Since 2001, Sofia Adrian Jupither has met with great success in Sweden and Norway, in particular for her adaptations of classic and contemporary Scandinavian writers. In the work of her countryman Lars Norén, she’s found a unique empathy that contrasts with his clinical descriptions of society. She adapted his text Fragmente in 2012 in Göteborg as part of the European project Villes en scène/Cities on stage, and directed Gianina Carbonariu’s The Tigress and Lars Noréen’s 20 November for the 2016 edition of the Festival d’Avignon. Solitaire! marks her seventh direction of a play by the Swedish author.
