Olga Dukhovna

Olga Dukhovna recycles dance in the same way others recycle objects: she collects, transforms, and repurposes. Born in Ukraine and trained in Brussels (P.A.R.T.S.) and Angers (CNDC), she fuses forgotten folklore with contemporary dance, gleefully embracing improbable collisions. Her shows (Korowod, Hopak, Crawl) deconstruct traditional dances to reveal their underlying political significance, while her solo Swan Lake, put together in her home during lockdown, has since gained international recognition. She is currently exploring the transmission and memory of movement.
